  1. Proof Of Compliance With The Family Educational Rights And Privacy Act (FERPA)

    MindPlay agrees to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA") and will not disclose any personally identifiable information about any student without explicit permission from the student's parent and school.

  2. Proof Of Compliance With The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

    MindPlay does not collect, user or disclose personal information from children. MindPlay does not request any student information. Only student name, login, and a password is required for access the MindPlay Virtual Reading Coach™ and that information is uploaded by the local school or district (verfied on Manager® login page)

  3. Proof Of Compliance With The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA)

    MindPlay Employee handbook: No employee of Method & Solutions (MindPlay) will discriminate against an applicant for employment or a fellow employee because of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin ancestry, age, physical or mental handicap or because of the person's veteran status. (verified on Manager® login page)

4. Ensuring Network Access:​
With MindPlay Virtual Reading Coach (MVRC) it is important to ensure full access across the school/district network to the servers that host MVRC and MVRC related media.

Important websites to allow:
https://mvrcmedia.blob.core.windows.net (for Cloud Delivery Network media files)
https://az415484.vo.msecnd.net (for Cloud Delivery Network media files)
https://www.fastsupport.com/  (for Technical Support issues that require screen sharing)

For networks which require specific IP addresses rather than a URL, the following can be used: - Cloud Storage
65.54.75.* - Cloud CDN

Exact IP addresses for the Cloud Delivery Network sites are dynamic. They can be provided upon request, but are not guaranteed to remain the same for any period of time.

These sites will need to be whitelisted and added to the trusted sites in any/all of the following:
  • Local network security settings
  • Firewall settings
  • Antivirus and/or anti-spyware programs (e.g. NetSense)
  • All Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for the school/district
  • Trusted sites list in the domain group policy for all users and profiles
  • Allowed trusted sites list for student access profiles if not covered in the domain group policy Trusted sites list for any/all proxy servers
  • Any other areas in the local network that cover website access and security

Recommended: verification that the date and time on the computers is set correctly as incorrect dates can interfere with security certificates, which has been known to prevent proper media downloads in the past.
