There are three types of tests in MindPlay: Screener, Pre-tests, and Post-tests.
The Screener is used it initial determine the strengths and weaknesses of each learners. It is given every two weeks to measure progress in reading comprehension and fluency. 3 times a year a full test is given that can take up to a half hour to complete.
Pre-tests are used to pinpoint the exact gaps the learner has in a reading sub-skill.
Post-tests are used to determine which gaps have been filled after MindPlay instruction what given and which skills remain to be filled.
MindPlay works to minimize the number and frequency of testing, but without testing progress cannot be measured.
